An entry for an on-the-spot painting competition (I didn’t win, sadly). The theme was “Unique Filipino superhero”. I based this one on the Philippine Eagle with mixes of harpies, and phoenix which I think, made it very Western and villain-y instead of it being Filipino-esque. It was very fulfilling though because character design wasn’t my forte and basically, this fantasy art style is one of my biggest frustrations and if not for this competition, I wouldn’t be able to start exploring this fun (yet very very challenging) way of painting.
