Environmental speed painting: The Eyrie, stronghold of House Arryn.
An entry for an on-the-spot painting competition (I didn’t win, sadly). The theme was “Unique Filipino superhero”. I based this one on the Philippine Eagle with mixes of harpies, and phoenix which I think, made it very Western and villain-y instead of it being Filipino-esque. It was very fulfilling though because character design wasn’t my forte and basically, this fantasy art style is one of my biggest frustrations and if not for this competition, I wouldn’t be able to start exploring this fun (yet very very challenging) way of painting.
Sketch of Regina Spektor (actually one of my very very few subjects/drawings that are smiling/laughing)
Character and blocking study.
My first ever finished painting cir. 2010.
A 2013 remake of my 2010 painting.
Printed an art print of my painting of Daisy Buchanan from The Great Gatsby for an upcoming exhibit.
Chose 10 from my artworks that I think are worth hanging for an upcoming exhibit. Can you help me choose only one?
