I’ve been receiving lots of queries about my medium so I decided to make a post about it.
People, people, hear ye, hear ye! This here’s a Wacom - Bamboo pen & touch.
Wacom is a company that produces pen displays, pen tablets, etc. The name/product ‘Bamboo’ is a collection of graphic tablets for home-users. The ‘pen & touch’ feature of the Bamboo product is what makes it a ‘magical’ tool for me. The tablet is connected to the CPU via USB port. The ‘pen’, works exactly like a brush. When used with a coloring software (Corel Painter, SAI, Adobe Photoshop), it gives the user a natural ‘brush-on-canvas’ or ‘pen-on-paper’ feel. The pressure sensitivity of the pen adjusts the line weight and opacity of the color depending on the pressure that you will exert. This tablet here is the smallest in line with the other Bamboo pen tablets.
I paint on Adobe Photoshop CS5 with the use of this baby for two years now. I’ve always wanted a Cintiq, but damn, that’s hella expensive. I think a unit will cost me Php100,000++ so yea. That sucks. I’m hoping to get a new tablet though. Or not. lol. At least a tablet for intermediate users like the Wacom Intuos. Prolly the largest size. Haha.
